This team is responsible for managing and delivering on Consumer Lending Auto’s strategic initiatives.
This role will be responsible for working with Agile teams in Auto Lending’s transformational change as we modernize our data platforms and accommodate data ingestion from new and upscaled sources. Your contributions will be critical to our overarching goal of positioning the Auto business for the future in terms of data provisioning, data governance and data enablement.
Data Product Management: Covers jobs responsible for enabling data product design and delivery to drive business initiatives, strategies, and analytics, while incorporating governance set by Data Management. Serves as a bridge between data analytics, data management, and technology focusing on data integration, efficiency, and enablement across data platforms and utilities.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in low to moderate complexity data product initiatives and identify opportunities for data roadmap improvements within scope of responsibilities that drive data enablement and capabilities across platforms and utilities
- Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives to drive low to moderate-risk data enablement strategies, roadmaps, and deliverables
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex data product situations, and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners that impact prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design
- Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and prioritization to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance
- Manage low to moderate-complexity datasets continuously focusing on the consumers of the data and their business needs, while adhering to set data governance and standards
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of data product roadmaps with detailed specifications, requirements, and flows for data capabilities
- Gather data requirements and document data needs from a variety of sources throughout the data product lifecycle
- Communicate low to moderate complexity data problems and initiatives in a digestible manner to all audiences
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in the following functional areas: data/technology strategy and large/ complex implementations, business technology solutions, data streaming, warehousing, architecture and systems integration, with a clear track record of building innovative, customer-facing capabilities
- Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira.
- Experience with SQL, SAS software
- Financial Services experience
- Data governance experience
- Data Profiling experience
- Auto lending background desired
- Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
- Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements, policies, procedures and processes
- Ability to balance short-term value delivery to the business with long-term efficiency and governance objective
- Experience with data management best practices and disciplines including data governance, data architecture, data quality, analytics and business intelligence
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence senior technology and business executives
- Flexible and adaptable; Able to work in ambiguous situations; Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
