Senior Data Engineer - AWS Ecosystem

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• 8–10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data marts, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Proven ability to write scalable, testable code and support the SDLC alongside Development Leads.
• Expertise in SQL, SSIS, AWS Glue, AWS DMS, Redshift, Step Functions, S3, Athena, and Kinesis for building data pipelines.
• Proficient in GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Jenkins.
• Skilled in AWS CLI for service management and task automation.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with PySpark.
• Solid understanding of database systems, data modeling, and workflow optimization.
• Strong grasp of network concepts, algorithms, data structures, RDBMS, OOP, and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Effective communicator and team collaborator.
• Proficiency in English, as the role requires direct communication with US-based clients.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

• You will have a track record for developing high-quality application by implementing testable and scalable code.
• You will be an integral part of the development team for new modules and enhancements to industry-leading SaaS-based incentive management platform.
• You will design, develop, and maintain robust data architectures, including data marts, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• You will manage and build ELT and ETL pipelines between internal data and external data stores for the broader data team.
• You will leverage AWS services to build and optimize data storage and processing solutions.
• Documenting data engineering processes, standards, and best practices. Abide by organization security policies and practices.
