We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Manager to oversee the revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with ASC 606. Reporting to the Head of Revenue Accounting, this individual will play a key role in shaping foundational processes, policies, and controls within Harvey’s accounting organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue accounting, experience in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to operational excellence.
What You’ll DoOversee the end-to-end revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and company policies.
Assist with month-end close procedures, including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analyses.
Review and analyze customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition treatment.
Design, implement, and own portions of the sales compensation calculation process.
Provide revenue recognition guidance to stakeholders related to contract structures, new product offerings, and strategic initiatives.
Enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and controls in revenue accounting and sales compensation processes, including support for new system implementations.
Draft and maintain revenue accounting policies, memos, and documentation to ensure clarity and compliance with accounting standards.
Support external audits by preparing deliverables and addressing inquiries.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS, AI, or technology company.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
Proficiency with Netsuite and Salesforce; experience with Netsuite ARM is a plus
Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Knowledge of subscription-based and usage-based revenue models.
