Data Analytics Intern

Description

As a Data Analytics Intern at Schluter Systems, you will gain experience gathering insights from data, preparing automations and dashboards, and streamlining data collection and manipulation tasks. You will have the opportunity to spend time “in the data” and will gain hands-on experience solving real problems and contributing in a meaningful way to the business.

1. Gather Insights from Data:
   • Assist in collecting and cleaning data from various sources in a repeatable and scalable manner.
   • Inspect and analyze data to identify insights and trends. Present your findings using visualizations and pivot tables.
2. Prepare Automations and Dashboards:
   • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to create interactive and reusable dashboards. Simplify the process of manipulating the data so that domain experts can use their understanding to discover new insights.
3. Streamline Data Collection and Manipulation Work:
   • Work closely with colleagues to identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual data collection and transformation tasks.
   • Help foster good data-hygiene across the business with an eye for data normalization and data reduction.
4. Attend Meetings and Provide Data Support:
   • Participate in team meetings to gain insight into ongoing initiatives. Provide support to those teams as they determine data strategies for their projects.
   • Respond to data inquiries and provide support to colleagues across the organization.

Requirements

· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or experience with the data-manipulation features of a programming language such as Python or R. In Excel, knowledge of PowerQuery is desirable.

· Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions in this job grade, with the final offer depending on factors like experience, education, location, and other relevant considerations. Additionally, this role qualifies for extra benefits beyond the base pay range mentioned.
