This position will work with Mission Systems Supplier Performance Management Field Engineering team members on several key processes: supplier audit, Net Inspect for supplier first article inspection, training as well as supplier related quality notice (QN). The role largely focuses on ensuring consistency and integrity of process data, working with process owners for data set definition and data capture, as well as developing appropriate business metrics and processes.
Supplier Audits
· Analyze Mission System supplier audit status and records on a regular basis for accuracy and completeness
· Create/edit audit checklists that adhere to standard formats and guidelines
· Work closely with SPM field engineers to keep track of audit completion and report to management.
· Collaborate with various functions within Mission Systems to obtain charging guidance for audits, and/or audit planning activities.
· Design and implement an audit SharePoint site and applicable business processes with the supplier audit program lead.
Supplier Related Quality Notices (QNs)
· Support Mission Systems supplier related QN playbook activities, including but not limited to updating SAP records according to dispositions.
· Publish lessons learned in Teams channel or in another format on an as-needed basis.
Net Inspect
· Manage Net Inspect Mission Systems mailbox, respond to internal and external inquiries and assist with Net Inspect access requests, direct traffic to the appropriate point of contact.
· Analyze Net Inspect data sets on trends for management review if needed.
· Act as Net Inspect administrator for Mission Systems, working with division representation to ensure data integrity, including but not limited to designing appropriate part number structure.
· Ability to analyze large data sets, as well as reformat and bulk load data.
· If applicable, develop appropriate data exchange with SAP and Tableau for automation.
Training
· Analyze Mission System Supplier Performance Management Field Engineering team’s training records on a regular basis and assign training tasks according to curriculum requirements per commodity types.
· Contact the relevant engineers and their managers on an as-needed basis.
Source Inspection
· Act as a backup person for supplier source inspection scheduling for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems on the west coast.
General
· Implement long-term supplier quality strategies that relate to non-conformance decisions, data analysis, metrics, etc. in support of business growth.
· Interacts with internal and external personnel on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
· Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills. Must work well in a team setting.
· Attention to details and work with an appropriate sense of urgency.
· Ability to work with business process owners as well as information system personnel internal and external to NGC.
We are seeking a Principal Data Management Analyst in San Diego, CA.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of engineering, information systems, global supply chain, and/or quality; OR a master’s degree with 3 or more years of engineering, information systems, global supply chain.
· Experience with general contracting principles in a Department of Defense and commercial environment.
· Previous work experience with SAP and SharePoint.
· Previous data management and/or data analytical experience, especially working with large data sets.
· Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite.
· US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
· Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
· Previous work experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau.
· At least 1 year of demonstrated experience leading project teams.
· Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 audits and principles.
