OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Software Engineer working as a part of the Contextual Segmentation team. This team is responsible for bringing the power of search to enhance and create innovative solutions to segment internet pages and domains, as well as TV shows and episodes. In order to achieve this, you will contribute to a distributed team that has both software and ML engineers working together from various locations.

Search on its own is a highly complex data-set. Captify’s technologies have been built to extract maximum value from search for brands, partners and businesses all over the world and also to innovate & improve the consumer experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you’ll be doing:

• You will help design and build an innovative search-powered contextual segmentation Solution

• You will be help build the performance optimisation pipeline for the segmentation solution

• You will be help maintain and develop the Contextual TV solutions in the Company

• Working closely with ML engineers to improve and facilitate the deployment of ML models

• Working with cutting edge technologies in a fast-paced, start-up like environment

• Setting up monitoring for performance metrics and overall system behaviour to have alerts for any anomaly detected

• Ensuring the quality of the product you deliver as a part of the team

• Experimenting with new tools and technologies, producing POC to address business needs

• Be a part of self-organizing, result-oriented agile team

REQUIREMENTS:

What you need to be successful:

• Have practical experience with developing and maintaining distributed systems.

• Experience with Scala, Python or knowledge of one of the above with desire to learn the other.

• Are passionate about internal quality, good code and effective technical practice.

• Know our tech stack: Python, Scala, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Kubernetes, Databricks and AWS services.

• Have previous experience with git, CI/CD tools.

• Having experience with Machine Learning / Data Science is an advantage.

• Proactive self-starter.

• Good team player.

• Experience in software development.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field.
