Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Engineer responsibilities will include:
• Manage end-to-end delivery by investigating problem areas, working cross-functionally
with product manager and other stakeholders.
• Drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve quality of solutions.
• Manage teams that build and operate high volume distributed systems in a SAAS environment.
• Great at devising efficient processes that increase velocity and quality.
• Follow the Agile development methodology; think strategically and execute methodically.
• Develop and manage capacity and growth projection forecasts of the environment within budgets.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture; assemble large and complex data sets that meet functional
as well as non-functional business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
We seek an English language fully-proficient Data Engineer with 6+ years of “data” experience; of which you/the candidate has 4 to 8 of these as a Data Architect, building and leading highly complex technical engineering teams. Additionally, in this role you:

1. must have strong technical experience in Data Enterprise Architecture: specifically, Databricks Architecture at scale with medium- and large-scale projects.
2. Must have expertise on the Azure Cloud platform; and
3. strong experience with PySpark and Python programming.

OTHER SKILLS
• Knowledge of orchestrating workloads on the Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD methods is desired.
• A plus, but not mandatory is Teradata experience.
• Architecture Design Experience for both, Cloud and non-Cloud environments.
• Proficiency with APIs, containerization and orchestration is a plus.
• Experience managing distributed teams preferred.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable working cross functionality with product management and directly with
customers; ability to understand product and customer personas.
• Bachelor's and/or master’s degree.

PLACE OF WORK & WORK SCHEDULE
a. Ideally Mexico, or other Latam country able to support USA-based end-clients’ time-zones.
b. Mondays through Fridays, 8 hours per working-day.
