  • Department and location:  Cancer Stream, The Kinghorn Cancer Centre, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst

  • Salary: $84,436.00- $112,331.00 + super.

About the role

Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through high-quality data management and clinical insights. As our Data Manager, you will:

  • Drive Data Excellence: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of clinical and patient data submitted to key registries including CIBMTR, ANZTCT, and EBMT, supporting high standards of care and compliance.

  • Support Clinical Impact: Conduct internal data analysis and generate insightful reports to support clinical decision-making, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.

  • Lead Regulatory Compliance: Manage and prepare data for regulatory reporting and external audits in line with standards set by CIBMTR, JACIE, EBMT, NATA, and the ACI NSW BMT Network.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, researchers, and administrative staff to ensure complete and timely data capture throughout the patient journey.

  • Champion Innovation: Contribute to the development of protocols, quality initiatives, and data-driven improvements in bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy services.

About you

You’re a detail-driven, collaborative professional who thrives in clinical or research environments. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Relevant Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in health information management, biomedical sciences, or a related field, along with proven experience in healthcare or clinical research data management.

  • Specialist Knowledge: Solid understanding of transplant and cellular therapy data systems, accreditation requirements (e.g., CIBMTR, JACIE), and the flexibility to adapt to evolving data protocols.

  • Strong Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), health informatics platforms like MOSAIQ, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

  • Team-Oriented & Independent: A self-starter who can work both collaboratively and autonomously with minimal supervision while managing deadlines and priorities effectively.

  • Excellent Communicator: Skilled at engaging with clinical, scientific, and research teams, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s hospital, Darlinghurst.
