We are seeking a talented and passionate Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Engineer to join our growing AI team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving multiple AI initiatives that will transform the way our organisation services its customers.
You’ll be at the forefront of operationalising machine learning and AI models, ensuring they are seamlessly deployed, monitored, and maintained within scalable, secure, and reliable production environments.
Working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, you’ll help integrate AI-driven solutions into core business processes, delivering tangible outcomes that support both SME and Enterprise businesses.
This will be a full time, 12 month contract position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and optimise MLOps pipelines to support the full lifecycle of ML/AI models, including deployment, monitoring, and retraining, following DevOps and MLOps best practices.
- Build scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure for ML/AI solutions using Infrastructure as Code, ensuring systems meet functionality, performance, and reliability requirements.
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards across all MLOps activities, proactively addressing vulnerabilities and operational risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and seamlessly integrate ML/AI models into production applications and workflows.
- Develop and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions for ML/AI models in production, troubleshooting model and infrastructure issues as they arise.
.ABOUT YOU
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in MLOps.
- Extensive experience in deploying ML/AI models on private and public cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS services such as S3, SageMaker, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Strong programming skills in Python, shellscript, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CDK (experience with C++ and CUDA is a plus).
- A solid understanding of MLOps and CI/CD pipelines for deploying ML/AI models, with hands-on experience in containerisation and Kubernetes.
- Extensive knowledge of ML algorithms and frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, LLM, and generative AI (experience in computer vision is a plus), along with API development tools and frameworks such as REST and FastAPI.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
