Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented Power BI Developer with strong experience in Snowflake data warehouse integration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions. This role involves developing performance-optimized BI solutions, working with large data volumes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into insightful data visualizations

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Report Design and Development:

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
• Engage with stakeholders and business analysts to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
• Leverage advanced Power BI functionalities, including DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals, to enrich user experience.

Data Integration and Modeling:

• Integrate data from Snowflake into Power BI, building efficient and reliable data models.
• Design and refine ETL processes to ensure seamless and accurate data movement.
• Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading from Snowflake to Power BI.

Performance and Optimization:

• Enhance the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, particularly those using large datasets from Snowflake.
• Apply best practices in data modeling, query optimization, and report structuring to ensure smooth performance and quick load times.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid experience managing large datasets and optimizing Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.
• Deep knowledge of Power BI tools: Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
• Practical experience with integrating Snowflake, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Skilled in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL for efficient data handling and transformation.
• Experience creating and maintaining robust ETL pipelines that ensure accurate and clean data delivery.
• Proven track record of handling large-scale data environments with reliability and precision.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with advanced Snowflake capabilities such as data sharing, Snowpipe, and Streams.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in the context of Snowflake deployments.
• Previous involvement in migrating reports from tools like Oracle OBIEE to Power BI is a strong advantage.
• Working knowledge of Python and exposure to other BI platforms such as Tableau or QlikView is beneficial.
