About the Role:
Everest Insurance, a member of Everest Group Ltd., is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong background in Property & Casualty commercial insurance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of industry experience, preferably with leading carriers specializing in commercial lines. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive enterprise-wide reporting and analytics initiatives to support business growth and portfolio management.
Role Overview
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will partner with Underwriting teams and business leaders to develop centralized reporting and data assets, enabling data-driven decision-making. This role demands close collaboration with IT and other functions to navigate a fast-paced, agile environment and quickly adapt to market changes. The successful candidate will leverage analytical expertise to interpret complex data, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
This position is part of the Global Insurance Data & Analytics team, a key function under the Chief Operations Officer, with a long-term vision to establish a Center of Excellence for Business Analytics, centralizing reporting assets across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports that contextualize key metrics and drive strategic decisions for Executives and Business leaders.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement scalable reporting solutions that align with Everest’s long-term strategy.
Develop and implement Business Intelligence and Reporting solutions using enterprise data and reporting tools (Power BI, SQL Server, Python, Databricks, Collibra).
Establish and promote Best Practices for Data analysis, Visualization, and defining KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in collaboration with Data Governance, Operations and Technology teams.
Analyze large datasets and able to tell a story using statistical techniques and product knowledge to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Ensure Data accuracy and integrity by validating sources and refining reporting methodologies with high degree of diligence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience, including 3 years in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of financial and operational metrics.
Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and familiarity with Azure Cloud and Data Lake (Databricks) is a plus.
Strong technical skills in SQL, Python/R, and experience working with both structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, XML).
Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify business impacts, and develop actionable recommendations.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and storytelling abilities, with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
Collaborative mindset, with the ability to build relationships and drive alignment across teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining focus on strategic goals.
