Description

Research Assistants in Bioinformatics

Our research group, funded by Google, is seeking highly motivated candidates to join a project that leverages large language models (LLMs) to accelerate research in computational biology. This work builds upon our ongoing research, including

- LINE1 and PRC2 control nucleolar organization and repression of the 8C state in human ESCs (Developmental Cell, 2025)

- Epigenetic reprogramming of a distal developmental enhancer cluster drives SOX2 overexpression in breast and lung adenocarcinoma (Nucleic Acids Research, 2023)

- TAD Fusion Score: Ranking the contribution of deletions to genome structure (Genome Biology, 2019)

- Combinatorial approach for complex disorder prediction: Case study of neurodevelopmental disorders (Genetics, 2018)

Our goal is to develop large-scale computational models to simulate biological processes in genomics, molecular biology, stem cell, and cancer research. These simulations aim to support the discovery of new drugs and the development of novel therapies for cancer, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases.
