Our purpose as Tribe KYC is to detect and prevent financial crime, covering the full scope of anti-money laundering and countering terrorist financing during the client life cycle. KYC processes include customer on-boarding, periodic and event driven reviews, name screening, pre-transaction screening and post-transaction monitoring. By providing policies, standards, process design, tooling, and operational delivery the KYC tribe contributes to our societal role as gatekeeper to safeguard our financial infrastructure against financial crime.
The team
You will work in a multi-disciplinary team that has 3 Business/Data Analysts and 5 DevOps engineers. The product is the Data Mart KYC. Here we design and implement data models that support the organization's analytical and reporting needs. You will proactively work with process teams in Screening and Customer Due Diligence to discover new changes in the processes, refine and implement them. You will work collaboratively with an extended group of stakeholders, including global and local KYC process experts, but also Operations, Risk, Compliance and Data Management. You will be responsible for translating use case requirements towards process owners and data management, ensuring the use cases deliver requested value that enhance KYC Operations and at the same time are being compliant with regulation and policies.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Business/ Data Analyst, you:
Work closely with our KYC process owners (KYC, Compliance) to discover and meet their data needs.
Analyze and clarify data consumption requirements, translate requirements to detailed specifications for DevOps engineers.
You validate and to the acceptance testing together with the DevOps engineers.
Understand existing conceptual, logical and physical data models, and help draw up new ones, as you are a sparring partner for engineers in creating on or modifying into physical data models
Be an advocate of “ING Orange code” behaviors – help others be successful, always be one step ahead, take it on and make it happen
Be always on the lookout to improve our internal processes to speed up our discovery and delivery
Work with various stakeholders, such as:
Architects: making sure new solutions are in line with the data lake target architecture
Data stewards: you capture the requirements for data quality, data privacy and other relevant aspects of the data. You test the data on all those aspects and you safeguard the consistency and quality of the data in the data lake.
Data Sourcing squads: You act as a subject matter expert regarding data delivery (data profiling, mapping, analysis, governance)
You align with the business stakeholders the scope of the data that needs to be delivered, you facilitate and contribute to workshops with stakeholders (data stewards, data users, analysts, data engineers, etc.)
Engineers and business analysts: Together with the team you participate in defining a sustainable solution for the resolution of recurring data issues

Knowledge and experience in data management, data warehousing, dimensional data modelling, data governance.
Experience with data and business analysis.
Strong knowledge of SQL.
Nice to have: Experience with Cognos Framework development.
Knowledge or experience about Agile working.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
Knowledge of and experience in the banking sector.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Enthusiastic personality and Team Player: focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to unite people to work towards the same purpose. Advocate of the “ING Orange Code”.
Master’s or bachelor’s degree.
