This role sits within Moderna’s Portfolio Reporting and Analytics (PR&A) team—a strategic unit of the Portfolio and Program Management (PPM) function. The PR&A team empowers data-driven decision-making across clinical studies, projects, and programs by establishing best-in-class reporting and analytics infrastructure. As (Sr.) Specialist, you will be instrumental in translating high-quality data into actionable insights that guide Moderna’s mRNA vaccine and therapeutic development portfolio from early innovation through to regulatory approval.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual contributor based in Warsaw to operate at the intersection of data science, clinical development, and strategic portfolio planning. Your technical acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills will directly impact the success of critical R&D programs. With 70% of your time spent on-site, you will engage deeply with colleagues and contribute to Moderna’s vibrant Warsaw operations.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Supporting ongoing business reporting and analytics across studies, projects, and programs to help teams proactively identify risks, gaps, and challenges
Leveraging analytical frameworks to enable confident, insight-driven decision-making in clinical development
Collaborating across cross-functional teams to ensure relevant, real-time portfolio insights drive measurable impact
Contributing to the design and evolution of a sophisticated reporting and analytics infrastructure that supports Moderna’s clinical pipeline
Your responsibilities will also include:
Driving high-impact initiatives across the portfolio reporting landscape, including roadmap design, project scoping, and solution delivery
Developing and deploying advanced analytics and dashboards in support of strategic planning, governance, and risk assessment
Championing data and technology adoption across business processes by delivering scalable, impactful reporting solutions

This role leverages technology to transform clinical and portfolio data into high-value insights. Your comfort with digital tools, analytics platforms, and automation will be critical to enhancing portfolio visibility and program performance.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in life and/or computer science disciplines
2+ years of experience in data or analytics roles, preferably within biopharma or consulting/advisory services
Familiarity with drug development, preclinical through clinical development is a plus
Proficiency in data wrangling, modeling, and pipeline design
Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools
Preference will be given to candidates who have strong statistical and data analysis skills Experience with visualization tools and applications such as Tableau (Prep), Spotfire, or Shiny
Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze complex databases, perform data mapping, and use cloud computing solutions
Familiarity with reporting platforms and creating scalable dashboards for decision-making
Demonstrated ability to act independently and deliver with limited oversight
The role requires superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to deliver complex information in written and oral presentation forms.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):
Strong analytical skills and the ability to validate reporting logic, filters, and metrics to ensure accuracy and reliability in decision-making
Experience with gathering and translating business requirements into technical deliverables, and collaborating with stakeholders
Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Experience with documentation of infrastructure tasks and maintaining planning ecosystems in tools like Smartsheet
Experience building models and forecasts from Excel to more complex AI techniques
Ability to code (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
Experience supporting high-impact projects with cross-functional teams, including facilitating workshops for road mapping, prioritization, and capability design
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex data concepts and analytical insights to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
Versatility and creativity to tackle problems through a variety of approaches (i.e., EQ and IQ)
Familiarity with change management initiatives, including training and creating business communications
A proactive and collaborative approach, with the desire to contribute to a transformational and fast-paced organization.
A commitment to learning the scientific and technical foundations of our platform, biotechnology and our approach to developing medicines
Comfort with ambiguity and an adaptable mindset to pivot based on evolving business needs and real-time data
