About the role:

We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our growing Enterprise Data Science & AI team. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert in developing and implementing advanced machine learning/AI models and analytical solutions to improve Gartner's data quality and drive business value. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data science and AI opportunities, solve complex business problems, and drive data-driven decision making across the organization.


What you’ll do: 

  • Design, develop and deploy AI solutions to elevate the quality and depth of Gartner's data assets, ensuring high accuracy, reliability and completeness
  • Lead the development of predictive and optimization models to predict business growth and optimize sales territory design
  • Follow best practices for data science methodologies, including coding standards, model validation and model monitoring
  • Partner with business users to understand business requirements and translate data science solutions into business action items
  • Collaborate with IT teams to identify and design data pipelines and infrastructure that supports data science model use cases
  • Define success metrics and KPIs for data science projects and initiatives

What you’ll need: 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related quantitative field
  • 4+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of successfully delivering data science and AI projects in business environments
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data science libraries (sklearn, pandas, NumPy, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI applications
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of software development practices (version control, CI/CD, code review)
  • Experience with MLOps tools and best practices for model deployment and monitoring

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 131,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
