We are hiring a Research Associate/Research Fellow in electric power & energy systems to perform research in the area of modern power grids bordering on the topics like power electronics, energy storage, energy efficiency. The Research Associate/Research Fellow is also expected to support teaching activities as required by the school. We are looking for someone with experience in power engineering and a strong mathematical background.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new methods for power systems control.
Develop data-driven methods for application in power & energy systems
Assist in preparation of teaching materials for electric power related courses
Prepare report and conduct presentation at seminars.
Assist the school in various teaching activities, including instructing or supervision of labs and tutorials.
Job Requirements:
PhD (Research Fellow), MEng/MSc (Research Associate) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or other related fields.
Solid Mathematical skills.
Experience in one of the programming language – Python, Matlab, Julia.
Understanding of one or more of the following areas would be an advantage
Optimization
Dynamic systems
Control theory
Power electronics
Signal processing
Machine learning and data science (various subfields, including AI)
Good written and oral communication skills.
