Job Summary

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth as we expand our first-of-its-kind autonomous shuttle and mobility services across the nation. Launched in 2017 with a strong team of experienced roboticists and software engineers with decades of experience fielding robotic systems in the wild, May Mobility is looking to expand its team of robotics engineers with a background in robotics or autonomous vehicles. 

Essential Responsibilities
  • You will develop tools to help improve the online and offline perception system performance with industrial grade level production code
  • You will participate in feature design, code reviews, issue diagnosis, and resolution to enhance perception system performance
  • You will work with our detection, classification, sensor fusion, multi-target tracking components to improve perception evaluation pipelines
  • You will help establish methods or tools to validate perception features against our driverless readiness criteria
  • You will help derive performance targets and metrics that ensure driverless safety, while delivering performance and comfort
  • You will work with data, release, simulation, integration and field response team to understand the safety and operational requirements
  • You will help building tools to enhance our data collection, data curation, data annotation and ML pipeline to support feature development
  • You will take responsibility for the planning, execution, and success of feature or tooling deliverables.
  • You will be responsible for writing high quality scalable code, conduct data driven analysis and verification, complete work on time satisfying team roadmap and milestones
Qualifications and Experience

Candidates most successful in this role typically hold the following qualifications or comparable knowledge or experience:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or a field that requires a strong mathematical and/or engineering foundation (e.g. physics, aerospace engineering)
  • 1+ years of industry experience working on real-world robot systems maintaining high-quality of industrial-grade code
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++/Python, software development in Linux environment
  • Familiar with ML/DL development with PyTorch/TensorFlow
  • Familiar with data driven development and experiences with data collection, data curation, data clean and data preparation for development
  • Experience deploy features/ML/DL models in real time systems 
  • Familiar with cameras, lidars, radars, IMUs

Desirable

  • Familiar with ML development cycle, deployment, and optimization
  • Experience high quality capability deliveries to robots working in the field 
  • Master's Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field is desired
Physical Requirements
  • Standard office working conditions which includes but is not limited to:
    • Prolonged sitting
    • Prolonged standing
    • Prolonged computer use
  • Travel required? -  Moderate: 11%-25%
Salary Range$108,000—$140,000 USD
