YOUR MISSION
As a Q-Commerce Data Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of two high-impact teams — Q-Commerce and Brand Ads. You’ll dive deep into Glovo’s vast data universe to uncover actionable insights, design scalable reporting frameworks, and empower decision-makers with data they can trust. You will be a key strategic enabler, building custom queries, automation workflows, and visualizations that directly shape Glovo’s commercial and operational strategies. You’ll be working in one of Glovo’s most exciting markets, supporting both national and regional business teams with the analytical power they need to move fast and make the right calls.
THE JOURNEY
Turn Data Into Direction
- Work daily with commercial, operations, and brand ads teams to uncover performance drivers across key categories, partners, and campaigns.
- Run ad-hoc analyses to answer critical questions like: What’s behind this week’s increase orders? Which promotions drove incremental revenue? Are brand campaigns driving repeat purchases or just short-term boosts?
- Identify areas of inefficiency, margin risk, or upside potential, and use data to influence the right next steps.
Build Tools That Scale
- Create and maintain dynamic dashboards and visual reports in Looker or similar tools that bring visibility into Q-Commerce and Brand Ads performance.
- Design automated reporting pipelines to reduce manual work for business teams — think campaign tracking, SKU performance breakdowns, brand ROI reports, etc.
- Ensure data consistency and documentation so that internal stakeholders have a single source of truth for decision-making.
Be a Trusted Data Partner
- Collaborate closely with local Q-Commerce leadership and brand managers to support pricing decisions, assortment selection, supplier negotiations, and campaign strategy.
- Guide the Brand Ads team with insights on which categories, product types, or user cohorts perform best — enabling smarter targeting and better results for advertisers.
- Participate in local and regional meetings to represent the voice of data, offering clarity and perspective to discussions around promotions, assortment gaps, and performance trade-offs.
Support Business Growth with Impactful Analysis
- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, cross-selling strategies, and supplier-funded campaigns using A/B testing, cohort analysis, and funnel tracking.
- Help stakeholders evaluate initiatives like category expansion, same-day delivery offerings, or targeted promotions by providing the underlying data story and forecast models.
- Lead post-mortem analyses of major projects, turning lessons into reusable frameworks and best practices.
Bring a Problem-Solving Mindset
- Translate broad business needs into analytical solutions, while challenging assumptions and ensuring analytical rigor.
- Stay curious — proactively identify patterns, outliers, and opportunities to optimize our operations or deepen customer engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement of our analytical processes and help foster a data-first culture across local teams.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented, and business-savvy analyst who’s passionate about using data to unlock growth. Here’s what we believe the ideal profile looks like:
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or Business Analytics.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant area is a plus, especially if it includes coursework in advanced analytics, data science, or operations research.
- Strong foundation in statistical thinking, data modeling, and structured problem solving.
Analytical and Technical Skills
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or data science role — ideally in e-commerce, retail, logistics, or a high-growth tech environment.
- Advanced SQL skills are a must — you should feel comfortable writing complex queries to explore data, build datasets, and troubleshoot issues.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent. You should know how to tell a story through dashboards and translate trends into actionable insights.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, R) for data manipulation, automation, and building scalable workflows is highly preferred.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for quick analyses, modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of A/B testing, cohort analysis, and statistical significance to support experimentation and evaluate business decisions.
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or similar environments.
Business Acumen & Critical Thinking
- Proven ability to turn raw data into business insights that influence commercial, operational, or product decisions.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify key metrics, and drive to resolution independently or in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of e-commerce KPIs, customer lifecycle metrics, campaign performance tracking, and supply-demand dynamics is a strong plus.
- Curiosity-driven mindset — you don't just answer the "what" but also ask "why" and "what next."
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to clearly explain analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, operations, product, and marketing teams.
- A proactive attitude — you don’t wait to be asked; you identify opportunities and act on them.
