Full-Stack Engineer

About the Position As a Full-Stack Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be building out and enhancing our MDR solution while delivering new features and improvements that provide value to our customers. You will work on everything from analytics dashboards to Serverless backend services to big data ingestion and processing pipelines.
A day in the life…As a member of the development team, you will be a participant in the growth and evolution of a unique cloud-based security solution in the market. In your day-to-day life, you will be involved in all the steps and areas of development of one of the most advanced Threat Hunting and security analytics platform in the market following an Agile methodology. Requirements analysis, estimation and management of user stories, development, tests, code validations, continuous improvement… until delivery and production. You will help developing one of the leading market solutions for the rapid detection, response, prevention, and investigation of advanced threats that occur in large organizations, in a project that uses innovative technologies within the cybersecurity market.

Position Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, design, develop, test, and ship services and features while collaborating dynamic and results-driven environment.
• Work at all levels of the stack, from building cohesive customer experiences to scaling ML pipelines
• Take an active role in mentoring junior engineers
• Make a direct impact on the success of WatchGuard as a company 
• Participate in on-call rotation approximately once every 2 months

Skills and Qualifications

• A proven track record of success building cloud-based, highly automated, micro-services
• A desire to contribute to a collaborative engineering culture through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• An innovative and passionate spirit, an ability to overcome technical issues in a cooperative environment, a commitment to ship quickly, and familiarity with agile software development practices
• The ability to deal with ambiguity, communicate well with partner teams, and a compassionate understanding of the customer experience
• Proficiency in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for both front-end and back-end applications.
• A passion for building scalable and maintainable code that supports growth and futureproofing of systems.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with Python in a production environment
• 1-2 years of experience with AWS, in particular Lambda functions and Serverless development
• 1+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Serverless, or Ansible
• Experience with SQL and a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• 1+ years of experience with front end development (JS, React, CSS, etc.)

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 USD, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 5% of the base salary. Your base salary compensation will be based on your individual skills, education, and experience. Please keep in mind that the above range is the full base salary range for this role; hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.  U.S. Benefits
