We are looking for a Pricing Actuary (m/f/d), based in Munich.

The Impact You Will Have  

The Global Pricing team drives the global implementation of costing and pricing excellence for all commercial business. To advance with this approach, Allianz Commercial is seeking a pricing actuary to actively shape and reposition the Group's pricing capabilities in Mid-Corporate. In this role you will define Mid-Corporate pricing excellence, and you will collaborate on various activities to support Allianz operating entities globally in excellence achievement. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Improve the accuracy of Technical Pricing through dedicated pricing and profitability studies – support pricing projects with Allianz operating entities by applying analytical methods and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation.  

• Support Integrated Commercial Pricing analyses driving the convergence of MidCorp and LargeCorp Pricing approaches to support the Allianz Commercial growth strategy.  

• Support the development and continuously enhancements of the global Pricing methodology for Liability coverages.  

• Improve the coverage of Technical Pricing through support of Mid-Corporate pricing tool developments. 

• Support the establishment of global Pricing and Pricing steering tools for local usage in Allianz entities.  

• Execute the Technical Price Certification process by setting joint goals and ambitions with the Allianz operating entities, continuously tracking the progress and reporting the status to management.  

• Deliver Commercial Lines Pricing training programs as part of the P&C Academy.  

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable discipline.  

• Some years of experience in technical pricing in P&C business, with strong mathematical and analytical skills.  

• Experience in developing and calibrating pricing tools for various lines and managing projects with multiple stakeholders.  

• Proficiency with complex multi-national data landscapes and advanced Excel skills, including VBA.  

• Experience with SQL; knowledge of Python, R, JavaScript/CSS, Palantir Foundry, and Machine Learning is a plus.  

• A solid understanding of data analysis, automation, and AI tools is required, with an awareness of ethical AI usage. 

• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences, build strong working relationships, and deliver projects on time.  

• Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and results oriented.  

• Ability to work in a team. 

• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken), other languages are a plus.
