Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our cutting-edge technology programs here at WTW where you be a pivotal member in one of our teams developing the next generation of solutions for the insurance industry. The Software QA Lead is an integral part of the team at WTW. This role is responsible for driving and monitoring QA process within the team and ensuring the products being developed are delivered to the highest standards expected by WTW. The role includes working closely with developers, QA engineers and product owners to ensure that the team is using industry-accepted best practices. The role also involves coaching and mentoring other team members on quality practices and frameworks. The candidate should have a good knowledge and awareness of industry trends.

The Role:

 The Software QA Lead role involves the following activities and challenges:

  • Defining, driving and improving QA and test strategy and processes
  • Align closely with Head of QA and other QA Leads to ensure alignment with ICT standards
  • Coach and mentor team on best test practices
  • Ensure that the team have the right level of test coverage for the product including functional and non-functional tests 
  • Identify gaps in testing and propose suggestions
  • Build, maintain and improve test frameworks 
  • Write test code as production quality code 
  • Develop and execute test cases and scripts for both manual and automated tests 
  • Setup and drive exploratory testing sessions 
  • Be a leader in driving a culture of quality into the team 
  • Become a trusted authority within the team on QA and test automation matters

The Requirements:

  • Strong passion for the delivery of high-quality software 
  • Experience in defining QA strategy both from the ground-up as well as continuously improving existing processes and strategy 
  • Experience in driving QA and test first approaches into complex delivery programs
  • Experience in leading and growing a QA team for a project (including hands-on recruitment)
  • Hands on experience building complex test automation solutions for complex SaaS based solutions
  • Experience with C# test automation frameworks at all levels (unit, integration, API/system)
  • Experience in delivering QA processes for SaaS/Cloud based solutions in Azure
  • Appreciation and practical exposure to microservice and containerised deployment architectures
  • Experience in testing statistical analysis / machine learning software
  • Experience in Python would be advantageous
