A fantastic opportunity at nbn for a Manager – Data Quality reporting to the General Manager, Data Governance Operations.
A bit about your role
The Manager Data Quality at nbn is a Business Technologist responsible to oversee and improve data quality. Responsibilities include identifying issues related to data, developing remediation plans, and implementing controls across nbn’s systems. Key tasks are to support an enterprise data quality framework, collaborating on policies, assessing and monitoring data quality, recommending corrective actions including automation, and advising on data quality initiatives.
The role requires you to contribute to guide and train teams on best practices in data quality management, tooling requirements, tracking OKRs, and supporting data quality initiatives across domains to achieve quality targets. This role requires technical expertise within a business context, including strong practical SQL skills, working knowledge of data systems and pipelines, and proficiency in managing business stakeholders.
A bit about you
The role requires proficiency in data quality management, data analysis, and stakeholder management skills. The candidate should possess experience with data quality metrics, building automation, and the ability to resolve complex issues at an enterprise level. Additionally, the position necessitates excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to coordinate with federated business teams for data quality implementation.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for making good quality data available for business decision making. Experience working in cross-functional teams and ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders working in a dynamic environment is also highly valuable.
