About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Engineering Services Organization. In this role, you will be a senior-level member on a team with development responsibilities for internal engineering applications and Application Lifecycle Management toolchain and workflow enablement for the R&D organization. The role will have a strong focus on Analytics, ETL, and Reporting, leveraging cloud technologies to enhance our engineering capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Development of Internal Engineering Applications:

• Design and develop internal engineering applications, dashboards, and workflows to enable the R&D organization to deliver products faster.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Engineering Toolchain Integrations:
• Lead projects to enhance engineering workflows, scorecards, and metrics through toolchain integrations across product management, development, quality, infrastructure, and observability tooling.

• Establishing underlying data feeds into a centralized data lake for engineering operational metrics.

• ETL and Data Pipeline Development:

• Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines using tools like AWS Glue and Airbyte.

• Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

• Analytics and Reporting Development:

• Build and maintain analytics and reporting systems using tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Apache Superset, and Amazon Athena.

• Develop data transformation pipelines using DBT (Data Build Tool) to enable advanced analytics capabilities.

 

Qualifications

• Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on  ETL, analytics, and reporting.

• Proven experience in AWS cloud development, including serverless architectures and cloud-native application patterns.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with AWS services such as AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFormation, and IAM.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools like AWS Glue and Airbyte.

• Strong knowledge of analytics and reporting tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Apache Superset, and Amazon Athena.

• Expertise in transformation tools like DBT (Data Build Tool).

• Solid understanding of SQL, database design, and querying large datasets.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, or JavaScript
