Business Intelligence / Data Lead

The Business Intelligence / Data Lead is responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

Responsibilities you will have:

• Interface with key stakeholders and provide technical expertise across all stages of SDLC including requirement gathering, application architecture and design.

• Take ownership of key systems and build reusable components and frameworks.

• Work as technical BA, build domain knowledge and bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

• Database design and modelling: Collaborate with other database architects and developers to design and implement efficient database structures.

• PL/SQL Coding: Create, optimize and maintain stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers etc. Develop high quality PL/SQL code for various modules ensuring scalability, maintainability and optimal performance.

• Performance/Optimization: Analyze and optimize performance of complex SQL queries, procedures by code refactoring, implementing partitions, analyzing indexes and execution plans.

• Debugging and troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data related issues and implementing appropriate controls for quality checks.

• Collaboration with Business analysts: Work with business analysts to understand business requirement, refine stories and translate them into database solutions.

• Understand data flows and applications within organization to propose solutions based on business needs.

• Team Coordination: Coordinate with other developers, business analysts, managers to ensure delivery of code as per business requirement

Must have skillset:

• Several years of experience in PL/SQL including records, collections and analytic functions

• Expertise in relational databases and data architecture, including SQL

• Experience in ER modeling, big data, enterprise data, and physical data models

• Extensive experience in stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning

• Experience with CI-CD tools like bitbucket, Jenkins, RLM etc. Maintaining code versioning on bitbucket and deployment using Jenkins and RLM.

• Excellent skill sin debugging and optimizing long running processes and making the performant.

• Familiarity in computer science, data science, information technology, or data modeling

• Ability to work in a Sprint-based development and team-oriented environment

• Having hands on experience as a Business Intelligence / Data Lead, with a deep understanding of Business Intelligence reporting and data scape, must have experience in leading and guiding the team by example.

• Being an excellent data modeler, excellent in-depth understanding and analysis of data concepts – data architecture, data lineage, Critical Data Elements, and data models (conceptual, logical, physical). Must be experienced in reporting architectures, fine tuning data design for performant reporting at large scale.

• With excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills, ability to manage the business / client and quickly understand business requirements, manage communication with business and relay the requirement as well as architecture/approach/design to the development team.

• Experienced in Agile and Iterative project management models.
