What You'll Do:
We are looking for an experienced and highly capable CIM Presales Engineer to join our global presales team. This role will lead complex, technical customer engagements across the US and Europe. Success in this position requires exceptional technical depth, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization while influencing outcomes.
This is not a typical presales role. We are looking for someone who thrives on solving nuanced customer challenges, listens actively and deeply, and is relentlessly focused on delivering what the customer truly needs—not just what is easy to sell. You’ll work with regional teams to shape opportunities, demonstrate the value of our CIM solutions, and guide the customer journey from technical discovery through adoption.
Travel Requirement: up to 30%
Role Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Lead strategic technical engagements with customers, often spanning months or quarters, to understand business needs and architect meaningful solutions.
Serve as a trusted advisor, building relationships rooted in credibility, consistency, and genuine care for customer success.
Actively listen to uncover both stated and unstated customer challenges and guide the internal team to deliver accordingly.
Cross-Functional Influence:
Operate within a highly matrixed environment, collaborating with regional presales, sales, product, and engineering teams.
Influence decision-making and direction without formal authority by building trust and demonstrating expertise.
Technical Demonstrations and Solution Design:
Shape and deliver impactful product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs that align with customer objectives.
Partner with the broader presales and product teams to ensure the messaging resonates with both technical and business stakeholders.
Internal Enablement and Alignment:
Work closely with global and regional teams to ensure consistent execution and understanding of CIM capabilities.
Provide guidance and coaching to regional presales to elevate technical depth and strategic engagement.
Customer Advocacy and Product Feedback:
Channel learnings from the field into actionable feedback for the product and engineering teams.
Represent the customer’s voice in internal discussions, influencing the roadmap and feature prioritization to ensure long-term value.
Process & Materials:
Maintain centralized presales materials, use cases, and customer engagement best practices to support global alignment.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of presales processes and knowledge-sharing frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
5+ years in a technical presales, solution engineering, or strategic consulting role.
Proven experience in customer-facing roles requiring complex problem-solving and influence across teams.
Strong understanding of CIM systems and their role in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with MES, factory automation, and data integration frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, not authority, in complex, cross-functional environments.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with senior technical stakeholders.
Comfortable with ambiguity, driven to find solutions, and committed to customer outcomes—especially when it’s hard.
