Department Overview
As the Data Product Manager, your mission is to leverage the power of data to create personalized, relevant, and engaging experiences that drive customer satisfaction, increase conversion rates, and maximize revenue. You will be at the forefront of shaping the future of discovery and engagement on our platform.

Position:
Position Details
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Work with functional product managers to execute the product strategy and roadmap for data-driven improvements to our search, advertising, and recommendation systems.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze user behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and optimization.
- Requirements Gathering: Translate business needs and user insights into clear and well-defined data requirements and user stories.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineering, data science, functional product manager teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Experimentation & Testing: Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to validate product hypotheses and optimize performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the impact of product changes on business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate product strategy, data requirement and progress to stakeholders across the organization.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of data product management experience, with a focus on data-driven products.
- Domain Expertise: Understanding of search algorithms, advertising technologies (e.g., programmatic advertising, retargeting), and recommendation systems (e.g., collaborative filtering, content-based filtering). Experience in e-commerce is highly preferred.
- Data Proficiency: Excellent analytical skills and experience working with large datasets. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is required.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences about data requirements.
- A/B Testing: Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning techniques.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Japanese speaking.
