Ventia delivers facilities management services to the City of Sydney's portfolio of 251 facility assets and this contract is one of the largest and most prestigious local government facilities management contracts in Australia and New Zealand.
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Data Analyst to serve as a crucial liaison between business stakeholders, gathering requirements to identify streamlined data and reporting solutions. In this pivotal role, you will closely collaborate with divisional managers and engage with cross-functional stakeholders to effectively assess, analyse, and support the delivery of business data and reporting requirements.This role will be based in Town Hall.

What you’ll be doing:
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and validate data related to facilities maintenance activities, including work orders, asset information, maintenance schedules, and resource allocation.
- Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, presenting data trends, performance metrics, and KPIs to various stakeholders.
- Data Insights: Analyse data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency in facilities maintenance operations.
- Forecasting and Predictive Analysis: Utilize historical data to create models and forecasts for maintenance needs, enabling proactive planning and resource allocation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance technicians, supervisors, and management, to understand reporting needs and provide actionable insights.
Could you be our next Data Analyst?
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering).
- Proven experience in a similar role in a facilities maintenance environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and experience with SAP and Power BI.
- Current valid Driver’s Licence.
- Proficiency in applying statistical methods to analyse data trends, correlations, and variations, contributing to predictive maintenance models and performance assessment.
- Skilled in translating complex data sets into meaningful visual representations using charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards, enhancing the accessibility and usability of insights.
- Ability to identify the underlying causes of maintenance issues by analysing historical data, enabling the implementation of targeted solutions to prevent recurring problems.
