Madison College is looking for a dynamic, people-centered Data Analyst Researcher. This vital role blends data analysis, research, and action to foster equitable student outcomes. Reporting to the Director of the Institute for Equity and Transformational Change (IETC), you will contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of college-wide programs designed to close equity gaps and boost student success. You’ll harness the power of faculty and staff research, support campus-wide initiatives, and coach colleagues to interpret and act on data, fueling a culture of continuous improvement and shared responsibility. Your work will directly support developing, deploying, and evaluating efforts that reflect Madison College's commitment to inclusive excellence and student success.

This role offers the flexibility to perform some work remotely, with the expectation of in- office work two to three days a week, subject to change according to Madison College policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance Data-Informed Strategies: Contribute to the creation and execution of data analysis strategies through IETC programming to dismantle barriers to college access and student success, ensuring equity in academic practices.
Collaborate for Institutional Change: Partner with faculty, staff, and leadership to design and implement data-informed initiatives that eliminate success gaps and promote equity, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to thrive.
Analyze and Report Data: Conduct in-depth analyses of student data related to access, engagement, persistence, and course success. Prepare clear, actionable reports that evaluate the impact of strategies and offer insights for ongoing improvement. In collaboration with Institutional Research and Data Management (IRDM), leverage statistical software and data visualization tools to present findings in an accessible, user-friendly manner.
Enhance Equity Practices: Collaborate with faculty, staff, and institutional leaders to evaluate and strengthen equity-centered practices and programming. Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and foster continuous improvement by providing data coaching that empowers stakeholders to take actionable steps towards equity and success.
Facilitate Capacity Building: Advance the development of professional learning sessions to build data literacy and evaluation skills across the college community, empowering faculty, staff, and institutional leaders to make informed decisions.
Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to developing and deploying strategic initiatives that expand and enhance evaluation strategies, ensuring they align with the college's equity goals and are integrated across campus life.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools.
Ability to plan, manage, and implement cross-disciplinary projects with various stakeholders.
Effective communication skills, with experience engaging diverse populations, including those from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and individuals with differing abilities.
Commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and intercultural understanding within higher education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. An Associate’s Degree may be considered with equivalent additional work experience.Experience:
0–2+ years of relevant work experience.
