About Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an experienced B2B Marketing Manager to lead comprehensive marketing strategies that drive growth across our priority industries and functions. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute audience-focused marketing initiatives that impact the full customer journey, from awareness to adoption and expansion. You will work at the intersection of strategy and execution, orchestrating integrated campaigns across multiple channels and collaborating closely with product marketing, content, solutions, digital growth, and partnership teams.

As an audience-first marketer, you will own the go-to-market strategy for specific B2B segments, developing deep insights into customer needs and translating them into compelling marketing programs that drive measurable business impact. The ideal candidate is both strategically minded and execution-focused, with a proven track record of building integrated marketing programs that deliver results across complex B2B environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, segment-focused marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and growth across priority B2B audiences, including developers and technical decision-makers
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns from concept to completion, coordinating execution across content marketing, digital initiatives, partnerships, and events
  • Partner closely with Solutions team to create targeted, scaled campaigns that address specific segment needs and use cases, translating product capabilities into customer value
  • Build and implement multi-channel go-to-market strategies, orchestrating paid acquisition, organic marketing, content syndication, and partnership activations
  • Scale campaign execution by proactively adapting solutions and product positioning into targeted derivative content, based on deep understanding of buyer needs and channel preferences
  • Collaborate with Digital Growth team to optimize digital touchpoints and conversion paths, ensuring seamless user experiences across all stages of the customer journey
  • Work with events marketing to develop booth strategy, event selection, speaker programming, and follow-up campaigns
  • Conduct audience research and develop detailed personas in close conjunction with other Marketing teams
  • Establish and track segment-specific KPIs, continually optimizing strategies based on performance data and market insights
  • Lead A/B testing and experimentation across channels to continually improve campaign performance and conversion rates

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in B2B marketing, with demonstrated experience leading audience-focused marketing strategies across target audiences and industries
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable business impact
  • Deep experience marketing to B2B buyers and technical audiences, with understanding of their unique needs, channels, and decision-making processes
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing stakeholders across multiple functional teams and leading a team
  • Expertise in developing segment-focused go-to-market strategies, including persona development, journey mapping, and channel selection
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Experience with marketing technology stack, including MMM, CRM, analytics tools, and project management systems
  • Strong background in coordinating cross-functional campaigns across content, digital, events, and partnerships
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of B2B SaaS business models and growth metrics

Strong candidates may also have:

  • Experience working at high-growth technology companies, particularly in AI/ML or developer tools,  and/or PLG companies that also have a strong enterprise sales motion
  • Background in growth marketing or technical marketing for software products
  • Has owned a pipeline number for a specific audience segment in previous roles
  • Experience with developer marketing channels including GitHub, Stack Overflow, technical conferences, and community engagement
  • Track record of building and scaling marketing programs at organizations serving both technical and business audiences
  • Knowledge of enterprise sales processes and ability to create marketing programs that support complex B2B sales cycles

Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Location-based hybrid policy:
Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed.  Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Come work with us!

Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
