Data & AI Engineer

Growth Kitchen is on a mission to make eating great food the norm. Our platform enables kitchen operators (e.g. Hilton Hotel) to sell well-known restaurant brands, such as The Athenian or Coqfighter from their existing kitchens. Although we've raised significant investments and we're a profitable business, we're still a young and small team. As a Data & AI Engineer at Growth Kitchen, you will be an integral part of our rapidly growing startup. You'll have the opportunity to build beyond the limitations typically found in larger firms, directly shaping our data infrastructure, analytics capabilities, and cutting-edge AI solutions from the ground up.We don't require extensive experience - what matters most is your critical thinking, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take ownership. What you will be doing

• Own, build and improve our ETL pipeline to gain insights and empower the team (we use Dagster, dbt, Pandas, BigQuery)
• Implement data-quality checks, freshness SLAs, lineage tracking, and automated alerts
• Develop and deploy AI agents and AI workflows
• Collaborate closely with data science, operations, and sales teams
• Develop high-quality, robust, and flexible code
• Implement MLOps practices for monitoring, maintaining, and retraining AI models.
• Take on significant responsibility with opportunities to learn quickly

Requirements

• Degree or background in data, mathematics, or computing
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Understanding of AI workflows and AI agents
• Experience with ETL pipelines
• Data warehousing and data strategies
• Knowledge of high-quality code design principles
• Comfortable using LLM’s and conducting independent research
• Motivation to learn and work with Vertex AI
