YOUR NEW ROLE•Utilise statistical techniques to identify actionable data insights •Develop relevant machine learning models that solve challenges for Financial Crime domain, utilising techniques such as anomaly detection, segmentation, NLP, forecasting and predictive modelling •Develop automated data science process that enables organisational efficiency and can be used by analytics practitioners •Research new tools, techniques and best practises and utilise that knowledge to constantly improve our modelling, ways of working and tooling •Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to the growth and success of the team through mentoring and coaching of other data scientists WHAT YOU WILL BRING•11 plus years of experience in advanced analytics & Data Science practice•Comfortable working with and manipulating structured and unstructured data to extract actionable insights and develop model features •Presenting insights and new learnings to peers and stakeholders•Experience in engineering principles such as data sourcing, cleansing, joining and ETL•Proficient in SQL (Oracle, Redshift, AWS Glue), Python, Spark, EMR, and R/SAS.•Comfortable with version control (Git/GitHub)•Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Superset, PowerBI or Tableau •Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Databricks, Azure or GCP
