Overview
BRMi is seeking a Cheminformatician to analyze and integrate chemical and biological datasets to support drug discovery, mechanism elucidation, and drug repositioning. This role would involve using computational chemistry and data analysis techniques to understand chemical properties, predict biological activity, and support research efforts.
**Will ocassionally need to come onsite to NIH sites in Maryland**

Salary: 125k-140k based on experience

Responsibilities
- Develop models and tools for compound analysis and drug-target interactions.
- Support curation and integration of chemical databases.
- Collaborate with bioinformatics and data science teams on translational projects.
- Work towards NCATS's objective of enhancing the development, testing, and implementation of therapeutics.
- Perform Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with cheminformatics toolkits and databases.
- Familiarity with drug repurposing methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, R) and scripting languages (e.g., UNIX/Linux) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Collaborating with researchers in various fields, including chemistry, biology, and pharmacology, to solve research problems.
