As part of Flutter’s Finance Automation strategy, we are looking for an individual with strong coding ability and expertise in cloud-based data transfer solutions to join the team. This role sits within Flutter Group Finance Systems and Technology.

In this exciting role, your primary purpose will be to champion the strategic importance of automation within the CFO function. As we navigate the rapidly evolving gaming industry, automation plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, enhancing controls, and securing our position as a forward-thinking industry leader.

This role specifically focuses on utilizing AWS Transfer Family and AWS Lambda to retrieve data from third-party providers via API and SFTP, ensuring seamless integration into Flutter’s financial systems. Additionally, knowledge of networking, secure connectivity, S3 storage, and Athena querying will be advantageous.

What you’ll do

Craft data infrastructure to enable smooth data flow within Flutter, using AWS Transfer Family and Lambda.

You will apply your outstanding skills in Python and AWS services to clean, transform, and standardize data for downstream use, storing processed data efficiently in AWS S3. Your work will be key to enabling robust error-handling mechanisms, logging, and alerting for automated workflows. With a focus on maintaining consistency and integrity, you will ensure a flawless data flow into Flutter’s financial systems.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. You will work closely with finance, engineering, and security teams to ensure our data automation solutions align with business needs. Your comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and automation logic will be essential in maintaining transparency and continuity across teams.

How you’ll do it

To successfully implement our ambitious data projects, you will bring to bear your proven proficiency in AWS Transfer Family, Lambda, S3, and Athena. Your strong coding abilities in Python and JavaScript will be critical in integrating with third-party financial APIs and setting up secure SFTP connections. You will use your knowledge of data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and Lodash to transform data effectively.

Your understanding of secure network configurations, including VPNs and firewalls, will be vital for ensuring external data connectivity. Experience with SQL databases and cloud-based querying tools like AWS Athena will enable you to perform sophisticated data analysis. Familiarity with workflow automation tools and job scheduling, such as AWS Step Functions and cron jobs, will help you streamline our data processes.

Proficiency in Git will be necessary for managing code and collaborating with team members. Your strong troubleshooting skills will ensure the reliability and efficiency of our automation workflows. A solid grasp of financial concepts and data structures will support your automation tasks, ensuring they meet the specific needs of our organization.

Clear documentation and communication with collaborators across technical and non-technical teams will be crucial in achieving our goals. Your ability to convey complex processes in an understandable manner will foster collaboration and drive our projects to success.
