Position Purpose: 
Pearson’s Global Digital Channels and Experience team is looking for a Digital Data Analyst with data visualization skills. We are a small agile analytics team within the Direct to Consumer web marketing and ecommerce department. You would be responsible for the analysis of web and ecommerce related data, creation and maintenance of SQL based reporting, and the design and creation of internal reporting dashboards.
We are looking for people with experience using Tableau or similar visualization tools. Strong SQL skills and an analytical mind set. Candidates should be proactive, with excellent communication and organization skills.

Key Responsibilities:
●    Maintain visually appealing, accessible and insightful dashboards with SQL & Tableau to communicate and simplify insights to our non-technical stakeholders
●    Regularly review workflows and dashboards to identify areas for optimisation and improvement
●    Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases
●    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and optimise data models and pipelines for efficient, high-quality, data availability and reporting
●    Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data validation and quality checks
●    Champion data literacy and aim to enhance the data interpretation and usage of our stakeholders through guidelines and documentation
●    Document processes, methodologies, and best practices for data analysis and visualisation.
●    Manage multiple data projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output

Must Have Attributes: 
●    Tableau Dashboarding: Experience building and deploying optimised Tableau dashboards. 
●    Database and SQL: Experience with using SQL for analysis, as well as for the storage and optimisation of data.
●    Analytics UX Skills: Experience formatting and displaying data. Appreciation of different types of charts and their usage.
●    Web Analytics: Ability to review analytics data from sources such as GA4, and to draw insights and conclusions. A solid understanding of how web-sites work, preferably with experience in eCommerce and web marketing.
●    Data storytelling: Capable of using the best visual medium to tell compelling and actionable data narratives
●    Excellent communication skills: You can explain complex data stories to non-technical audiences without losing the room

Desirable Attributes:
●    Web marketing: Familiarity with SEO, AdWords, Social Media tagging, UTM parameters
●    Data Science: Any experience in any of the following areas: Data Warehousing, AB Testing, SQL and transitional SQL, Data Visualization.
●    Coding: Other coding languages such as Python or R a benefit

Personal Qualities: 
●    Communication skills: You have excellent verbal communication skills, able to collaborate with other for problem solving and requirements gathering. You're happy to work with teams to education and spread ideas. Your written skills allow you to communicate documentation and collaborate through task management systems such as Jira or Confluence.
●    Time Management: You have excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex business environment, coupled with the aptitude to set priorities, manage deadlines, and make bold data-driven decisions.
●    Judgement and problem-solving skills: You are a proactive problem solver, naturally inquisitive, independent critical thinker. You have an inventive creative mind set.
