Organization & Team Overview
Comcast Labs, as part of Emerging Products and Technology, looks at understanding emerging technologies and help assess their potential for the company, in addition to helping build emerging products. We partner very widely across the company to maximize our impact. The two biggest domains we are currently investing in the most, are everything related to AI/ML, including LLMs, agentic AI, edge AI, etc., and healthcare-adjacent technology, which leans heavily on smart home technology, sensors, wearables and AI.
Role Description
Do you like working with the latest technologies and applying them towards products that can help people live better and more healthier lives? This role might be for you.
At Comcast Labs, as part of Emerging Products and Technologies, we are not only interested in understanding and experimenting with the latest technologies in our industry, we also try to apply them to valuable new products and services for our customers. While we have a very open-ended remit, our current main focus is on two big areas: (1) everything AI and how it impacts and improves our technology and services and (2) healthcare, with a main focus on helping older adults stay at home longer and providing mechanisms to their loved ones to stay aware and in touch with them.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
In this role, you will help us assess the latest capabilities in AI – from how it can transform the way that we work to what new products we can build with it – as well as dive into the world of healthcare-adjacent technology and age-tech, which itself relies heavily on AI, smart home technology and so much more.
Where can this student make an impact?
We are a small team with individuals of varying backgrounds and skills. We need individuals that are willing to come with fresh ideas, experiment and try new things in a fast-paced and highly visible team.
