OVERVIEW

The Machine Learning Engineer is a driven professional with a strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis. With at least 4 years of experience, the candidate will work on designing and implementing AI/ML models to solve complex business problems. They will leverage Snowflake's data platform alongside modern machine learning frameworks to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, with a focus on business applications that drive measurable impact in the FinTech space.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists to build and maintain ML pipelines and ensure execution of modeling tasks.

• Analyze large and complex datasets using statistical methods to deliver actionable insights.

• Design and implement features leveraging Snowflake's AI capabilities, including Cortex AI, for scalable solutions.

• Create and optimize AI/ML pipelines for performance and reliability within Snowflake.

• Apply Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance model accuracy and relevance.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into AI/ML solutions.

• Implement best practices for versioning, monitoring, and retraining machine learning models.

• Document processes, results, and workflows for transparency and reproducibility.

• Stay informed on AI/ML trends and bring innovative ideas to the team.

Must Haves:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

• Experience: 4+ years in machine learning or data science roles.

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Python and strong knowledge of libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar).

  • Familiarity with SQL and data manipulation in Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.

  • Understanding of statistical modeling, supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.

  • Strong grasp of data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation methods.

  • Basic knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) principles and implementation.

  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Bonus Attributes:

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI or other cloud-based ML platforms.

• Knowledge of advanced AI techniques such as Generative AI or reinforcement learning.

• Familiarity with MLOps tools for model deployment and lifecycle management.

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks and tools like Hugging Face Transformers.

• Exposure to big data technologies such as Apache Spark.

• Certifications in AI/ML, Snowflake, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

• Publications or project contributions in the AI/ML domain.
