Data Analyst

About the role:
DUAL North America is seeking a Data Analyst. We are a forward-thinking leader in the insurance industry, with a commitment to achieving our ambitious business goals by leveraging innovative data strategies. We are seeking a strategic and technical data architect to transform data into actionable information to ensure we meet our long-term goals.

Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst to join our team and support our data-driven decision-making process. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements and help coordinate projects within the team. This position reports to the Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics.


Essential Functions:

  • Under the direction of Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics, work closely with other teams, such as marketing, product, carrier partners, and engineering, to identify and prioritize data-driven insights and requirements.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and visualizations to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by implementing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate closely with teammates and business stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions that drive business outcomes.

  • Assist in the planning coordination of data and BI projects.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Team Retrospectives

  • Stay up to date with emerging data analytics technologies and trends and recommend appropriate solutions to the organization.

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • Experience (5+ years) in business intelligence, analytics, and data modeling.

  • Expertise in Power BI, SSRS and Reporting Server report development.

  • Experience with industry Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, and experience working with relational databases.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with modern cloud environments like Azure, AWS, GCP (Azure preferred).

  • Strong programming skills with languages like SQL (required), Python (preferred), R (preferred), or similar languages.

  • Experience with version control, branching, deployment and CI/CD concepts.

  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies and drive organizational change.

  • Insurance related experience is a plus
