Position Description

The Autodesk Connected Data Specialist will focus on business growth through the sale and successful implementation of information management strategies and data-centric platform solutions to our Named Accounts spanning buildings, infrastructure, industrial, and manufacturing.

From enterprise to project lifecycle, we connect end to end processes through integrated workflows and structured data to automate and optimize better outcomes. This key role will scale and accelerate growth based on platform data strategies by helping our Named Accounts customers and wider industry ecosystems leverage an Autodesk strategy for their businesses. 

You will report to Director, Named Accounts North America; location is flexible, remote or hybrid anywhere in the US or Canada, and will require travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a pipeline of business from start to close, providing accurate and detailed forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annually) using a stage gate process

  • Effective in the internal sales processes, tools, and methodologies for planning, managing, and reviewing the business

  • Develop and expand high value relationships with people in C-Suite and Sr. Management that impact corporate or divisional strategy and business models

  • Apply industry knowledge in formulating and executing effective sales strategies that drives results with our top customer accounts

  • Work collaboratively and effectively with diverse teams across Autodesk, and with partners to understand and align strategies that leverage the portfolio to reach goals

  • Develop strong partnership network within Autodesk, including Product Groups, Industry Strategy Marketing, Customer Success & Consulting, and others to inform and scale our opportunities in Named Accounts and the broader Autodesk ecosystem

  • Help customers navigate their digital transformation challenges, including the growing importance of managing data throughout the project lifecycle and understanding trends that impact their business

 Minimum Qualifications

  • 7- 10+ years strategic selling experience in preferred or closely related industries, as listed above

  • Experienced developing relationships and addressing challenges at mid-to-executive levels

  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding targets in direct enterprise software sales

  • Industry acumen and domain experience in their related field

  • Strong team selling, executive selling, leadership, and relationship experience with a robust sales and planning process

  • Experienced in driving results and operating in a highly matrixed environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Solid track record of managing a pipeline of business from development to close in cooperation with diverse, extended account teams

  • Extensive background of sales experience related to asset information lifecycle and/or the application of digital workflows with data across requirements planning, design, construct or manufacture, operate & maintain project phases

  • Experience creating compelling proposals that link solutions to customer’s desired outcomes, effective at proving value

  • Experience in as many of the following technologies: Digital backbones, BIM, CDE for construction project delivery, product design lifecycle/PLM, digital twins, requirements/outcome-driven design, insight reporting and operations tracking of critical assets–with AI experience

  • Selling to relevant industries that prioritize asset data lifecycle management e.g., Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, Utilities, Minerals and Mining, Pharma and Lifesciences, or Chemical – with experience addressing the technology and business challenges faced by Owner/Operators in these major markets

  • Working knowledge of the standards that drive asset information for these industries (e.g., ISO19650, CFIHOS, OmniClass, Uniclass, MasterSpec, and/or other emerging industry standards)

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $201,400 and $291,500. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
