Position Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns within the data
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and usability of data by identifying and resolving issues related to data quality 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and processes, and transform them into impactful data visualizations and report 
  • Break down business needs into essential, actionable requirement 
  • Proven expertise in implementing enterprise-wide analytics and business intelligence solutions, including data integration from multiple systems into a single data repository 
  • Develop and unit test end-to-end solutions to solve business problems with data and BI technologies 
  • Produce or enhance data models for scalability and efficiency 
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, DAX, and Power Query, and a deep understanding of data sources such as SQL databases, Azure services, Fabric and APIs 
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI utilizing data sources from SSAS cubes, SQL databases, Fabric, Excel Spreadsheets, etc 
  • Ensure optimal performance of Power BI reports and dashboards by tuning queries, improving data models, and using best practices for efficiency 
  • Proficient in translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations with visually appealing Power BI Dashboards with meaningful insights 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data products with a continuous improvement mindset   
  • Collaborate with different departments within the firm to provide data-driven insights 
  • Support strategic planning through data analysis 
  • Evaluates and recommends improvements to the current reports 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, report designs, and Power BI environments 
  • Act as support for end users of BI and analytics data products 
  • Engage with users to help them self-serve data 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 
  • Strong proficiency in Dax, Power Query and Power BI, with the ability to design and develop end-to-end solutions  
  • Advanced knowledge and implementation of data modeling concepts 
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric 
  • Comfortable working with large datasets in a dynamic environment 
  • Ability to identify relevant KPIs and metrics from analysis of data and business needs 
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations 
  • Develop useful and appealing Power BI Dashboards to demonstrate business objectives  
  • Clearly convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment 
  • Certifications in Power BI are advantageous 
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus
