Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to serve as Manager, Master Data Lead

The Master Data Lead is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical data across ImageFIRST. This role partners closely with business units and data owners to define and enforce data standards, oversee daily master data operations, and support the execution of data governance and quality initiatives. The Lead will play a key role in managing the full data lifecycle—driving improvements in data creation, maintenance, and deletion processes—while also identifying and resolving data flow or integration issues. Operating as a senior individual contributor, the Master Data Lead will help implement scalable, repeatable processes that enable reliable, high-quality data for business operations, analytics, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Enforce master data standards and policies across the organization including access privileges, data classification, and security and privacy controls.
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) through data controls and audits.
  • Lead and facilitate the Data Governance Committee, partnering cross-functionally with business stakeholders and data owners to drive MDM adoption and enterprise data alignment.

Monitor & Improve Data Quality

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, recognizing their critical role in business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data owners to implement preventative measures and validation rules.
  • Engage directly with source data and downstream systems to trace anomalies, resolve integrity issues, and support robust data mastering and governance frameworks.

Implement and Grow MDM Strategy

  • Drive development and execution of a scalable MDM strategy aligned with ImageFIRST business goals.
  • Build and implement frameworks, policies, and roadmaps for consistent and accurate master data across business units.
  • Lead the configuration, deployment, and enhancement of MDM tools and platforms at ImageFIRST.
  • Ensure MDM systems enable robust data lineage, version control, and long-term scalability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data owners to drive MDM adoption and alignment.

Master Data Integration

  • Lead end-to-end integration of master data across systems (e.g. SQL Data Lake, Oracle ERP, etc.)
  • Orchestrate seamless data synchronization across systems and departments to maintain data consistency.
  • Create and update comprehensive data flow documentation to enhance operational transparency and support system interoperability.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Perform cross-system analytics to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for data standardization.
  • Track and report on KPIs to monitor MDM performance, data governance compliance, and data quality trends.
  • Provide insights to business leaders to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Engage directly with system interfaces, pipelines, and repositories to investigate how data flows between platforms and uncover systemic issues at the source and optimize existing workflows.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop system-wide standards for data entry, updates, and decommissioning to promote clean, governed, and trusted data.
  • Promote automation and scalable, repeatable processes to minimize manual data handling and reduce operational risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data management or a related data-driven role.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL and Microsoft Excel for data extraction, analysis, and validation of large datasets.
  • Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Oracle FDI, QlikView, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Familiarity with data integration processes and system architecture.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently and adapt quickly to dynamic tasks and deadlines resulting from new or changing priorities.
  • Able to think logically through data quality issues and drive resolution.
  • High attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining data accuracy and consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly Oracle Fusion.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead initiatives that improve data management processes.
  • Experience translating business needs and data governance best practices into effective system configurations that support data integrity and operational efficiency.
