Summary of Excellence:
The Data Analyst plays a critical role supporting the development and execution of the Bank's strategy. This position is responsible for mining, analyzing, and visualizing data to create transparent, actionable insights that allow informed decision-making capabilities across all organizational levels.
The Analyst leverages data warehousing technologies such as SQL to gather data from multiple sources and develop dashboards and reports that tell a clear, data-driven story as needed by all areas of the Bank. The role requires strong analytical skills, creativity in solving complex data problems, and the ability to simplify technical findings for diverse audiences. In addition, the Analyst partners with teams across multiple departments to deliver strategic insights that guide enterprise initiatives.
The position demands a strong background in analytics and statistics, proficiency with advanced analytics tools including AI and Machine Learning, and a proven ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas. The Analyst supports the broader goal of aligning data strategies with the organization's long-term strategic objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data warehousing platform, data mining tools, and data analytics (visualization) tools.
Interprets data sets for extracting relevant information benefiting the Bank
Streamlines data collection processes from various sources with automation and maintains the integrity of databases at all times.
Creates and compiles reports for internal teams and/or stakeholders, and creates data dashboards, visualizations, and graphs to fulfill the needs of the Bank.
Collects and processes data using advanced tools and summarizes it to tell a story as requested by stakeholders.
Train others on database mining and analytics on how to utilize the Bank’s data to support strategic initiatives.
Improves efficiency, understands customer needs, increases profit, and impacts other valuable aspects of business operations.
Structuring large data sets to find usable information.
Collaborating with team members to collect and analyze data.
Solving data-related problems and coding issues.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

Enhances the Bank’s image by providing representation and involvement in community activities and charitable, civic, and social organizations.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or any other related field is preferred. A minimum of 5-years’ of database management experience could replace the education requirement.
Certification in Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics tools preferred
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High proficiency with Excel, database engines (e.g., SQL), Power BI, Tableau, and/or other data analytics tools (mid to high level)
Analytical: (e.g. comfortable with data) and can combine an understanding of business objectives, customer needs, and data required to optimize customer experience and business results
Intermediate knowledge of data governance, data management, data architecture, data modeling concepts, data governance tooling, and the complexities of data in a financial services industry and/or highly regulated institution
Willingness to continuously develop and acquire new technical skills, and learn new tools & programming languages, and Big Data techniques
Agile experience: Agile Scrum methodology preferred
Some programming (e.g., Python) and RPA/AI skills preferred
Effective oral and written communication with the ability for analyzing, slicing, and dicing data while deriving significant insights
Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change
Intermediate knowledge of application coding and development lifecycle
Natural curiosity and self-directed ability to seek out information and meet goals/deadlines
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Moderate physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; some lifting of light materials and supplies. Work involves a mixture of walking, sitting, and/or standing. Well-lighted and ventilated office environment, which are generally pleasant and comfortable. Minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise.
