Maintenance Data Analyst

Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture of Qatar Energy & ExxonMobil, has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Data Analyst at our Sabine Pass, TX location (approximately 10 minutes from Port Arthur, TX).  We are looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed to be a part of our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America. 

The Maintenance Data Analyst will be responsible for leading the month end financial close for terminal and pipeline maintenance while providing key data at specified time periods to meet deadlines for accurate and timely accruals.  Additionally, responsibilities will include stewardship of monthly maintenance cost for both terminal and pipeline working directly with Maintenance Superintendent and Managers. The cost analyst shall coordinate across the maintenance, operations, and SHEE teams ensure maintenance cost data, reporting, and opportunities are consistent across business systems.

Essential Duties / Functions

1. Hold Planners, Execution and Supervisors accountable for cost control including maintenance overhead
2. Works collaboratively with other departments (Maintenance, Finance, Accounts Payables, Procurement, etc.) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
3. Provide insights into purchase order (PO) spending
4. Tracking/understanding work order translation to associated PO’s
5. Liaise with contractors, vendors, or other service providers to obtain accrual information to support monthly reporting.
6. Entering Service Entry Sheets (SES) for External Services
7. Maintain pricing inputs for work centers
8. Reconcile work order cost vs planned cost and handle all accruals
9. Rebook costs to appropriate cost centers via JV process
10. Drive relevant KPI Metrics and Maintenance Efficiencies
11. Analyze routine maintenance trends and make efficiency recommendations
12. Develop and steward relevant metrics for Pipeline and Terminal
13. Report regularly to Maintenance Superintendents and Managers for maintenance improvements
14. Report out to site leadership on cost savings and overruns
15. Analyze the delta between actual and planned costs and head counts
16. Benchmark key cost elements and seek opportunities to reduce costs
17. Support Cost and Material Audit Assessments and Follow Ups
18. Support special projects, initiatives, tool development, and strategic work items that impact Maintenance costs and stewardship

Minimum education required of the position.

• Bachelor’s or associate degree or relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience

Minimum experience required of the position.

• 5+ years of previous cost analyst experience
• Experience in roles with maintenance cost analyst responsibilities in Oil & Gas industries. LNG facility experience is preferred.
• Experience in CMMS
• Experience in accrual tracking, monthly KPI reporting, and cost controls.

Working Conditions

• Office environment. Site/Warehouse visits might be required based on need basis (5%)
