Role Overview
Advice Solutions data analytics and insights strategy is central to delivering on the company’s overall strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics for Advice Solutions, the successful candidate will be required to understand the business strategy and to support its delivery through data solutions.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent communication skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to work effectively with teams across the organisation.
More specific responsibilities will include
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand strategic goals and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Analyse and connect large data sets to deliver a joined-up, holistic customer data story.
• Plan, develop and execute innovative data solutions. Explore how we can utilise advanced analytics and AI to drive tangible business value and enhanced customer experiences.
• Identify and articulate insights to inform decisions, deliver growth, improve experience.
• Support and advocate for the continuous evolution of Irish Life as a data driven business.
• Connect with colleagues in other Irish Life Group data teams and operate as an active collaborator within the Irish Life data community.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback while contributing to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Maintain strong focus on data governance and compliance, ensuring that Advice Solutions comply with relevant regulations and industry standards while maximizing business utility of data.
What you will need to be successful in the role
• A strong blend of technical ability and commercial awareness, with both the ambition and competency to deliver innovative data solutions for business growth.
• The ability to partner with diverse business stakeholders to connect data and business goals, bridging the gap between technical and business teams.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills with an ability to articulate and present complex concepts in a manner tailored to the audience.
• Appreciation and understanding of the regulatory environment. Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, integrity and innovation to deliver data solutions and business strategy while appropriately protecting customer data and complying with relevant regulations.
• A track record of working with large, productionised datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that can be used to solve business problems and generate business value.
• Extensive experience using data visualisation tools (eg Power BI), and data cleaning, manipulation and analyses using tools (eg SQL, Python and DataRobot) to build integrated complex reporting using data from across the organisation. Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts (e.g data pipelines and data warehouses)
• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. data science, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline)
