The Opportunity 

The role of Master data Governance Manager will lead and own the master data agenda across all Glanbia Performance Nutrition Brands, channels and systems to ensure consistency across master data, definitions and integrity. This is a compelling opportunity for an experienced master data or data engineering individual, to continue to grow their career in an exciting category, with significant scope for future growth. This permanent position will report to the GPN Director of Finance Transformation.

 

  • Play the leadership role in implementing master data management and master data governance frameworks across GPN.
  • Manage the master data management strategic activities.
  • Establish and manage the Master Data ownership and responsibilities across GPN.
  • Owner for data quality across GPN for Material, Customer, Vendor and Consumer.
  • Responsible for assisting the business in ensuring completeness, accuracy and quality of GPN master data to support business operations, performance and insight
  • Generate and analyze reports on master data quality, usage, and compliance for management review.
  • Responsible for monitoring data vendors, ensuring correct and accurate data is provided.
  • Working with existing GDPR resources to ensure all requirements are aligned and reported on. 
  • Work closely with product, customer, and operations teams to understand their data requirements and ensure that master data supports their business processes.
  •  Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate master data management processes into existing systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with the GBS master data governance CoE to ensure appropriate technical systems are introduced and established across the relevant data domains in GPN
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures in collaboration with the audit team to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Establish and lead the appropriate governance structure within GPN for data quality, including data stewards, process data owners and Data Governance councils.
  • Regularly audit master data to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead the development and implementation of master data management processes within the newly created Data Hub.
  • Implement data quality frameworks and tools to monitor and improve the quality of master data.
  • Collaborate with business units to define data quality standards and metrics, and develop strategies to address data quality issues.
  • Generate and analyze reports on master data quality, usage, and compliance for management review.
  • Lead the Master Data strategy across GPN and report on progress with regards to Master Data accuracy, training and change management.
  • Develop and implement agreed data governance principles and master data management frameworks across GPN
  • Manage and report on the Master Data management roadmap delivering the data governance strategic plans.
  • Generate and analyse reports on master data quality, usage, and compliance for management review.
  • Monthly reporting and score carding for transparency of impact to the business
  • Collaborate with GES to ensure governance is kept up to date and data models and frameworks support future business plans.
  • Support the business process mapping with a focus on master data and opportunities to digitize and automate process.
  • Create monthly data quality, coverage and compliance reports for each business area with agreed improvements with the business teams.
  • Chair regular cadence of governance meetings with data stewards and data process owners.  

 

The Skills you will bring to the team 

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • 5 years+ master data management, data governance or data engineering background (excluding internships), preferably within a CPG/digital commerce business.
  • >3 years of team leadership
  • Data Governance framework experience. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices, with a proven track record of implementation.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.  Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.  The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $110K - $130 K with an annual bonus.
