We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Decision Science Director to lead our global team of data scientists. This role is pivotal in driving speed and efficiency in our R&D and operations through the strategic use of data, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in decision science, data analytics, and leadership, with a proven track record of transforming organizations through innovative data-driven strategies.

What You Will Do:

• Leadership and Team Management: Lead and inspire a global team of decision science professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive decision science strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, focusing on enhancing R&D speed of development and operational efficiency.
• Data and AI Integration: Leverage data analytics, AI, and digital technologies to optimize processes, reduce time-to-market, and improve decision-making across the organization.
• R&D and Operations Support: Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements, streamline workflows, and enhance product development processes.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and AI techniques to solve complex business problems, improve performance, and create competitive advantages.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and support for decision science initiatives.
• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of decision science initiatives on R&D and operational efficiency.
• Talent Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

Skills and Experience That Make A Difference:

• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a decision science or data analytics function, preferably in the specialty chemical or related industry.
• Strong expertise in data analytics, AI, machine learning, and digital technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a global team, driving innovation and achieving measurable results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience with R&D and operational processes in the specialty chemical industry is a plus.
