Job Summary
We are seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Tech Lead with strong expertise in AWS Cloud and Python, backed by a solid foundation in data engineering. In this strategic role, you’ll lead the design, development, and implementation of MDM solutions that ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data assets across platforms.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product manager, data architects, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to drive data governance, integration, and quality initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals and ensure delivery on high-priority roadmap initiatives.
- Design and implement scalable MDM solutions using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Redshift, S3, and Step Functions.
- Develop and manage data pipelines for ingestion, cleansing, enrichment, and synchronization of master data using Python.
- Lead MDM practices across domains like customer, product, and vendor to establish consistent, accurate, and trusted enterprise data.
- Define and enforce data quality rules, including matching, merging, and survivorship logic to ensure reliable master data.
- Mentor data engineers and oversee contract/offshore teams, promoting code quality, velocity, and engineering best practices.
- Manage Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking using tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as analysts, architects, and operations to ensure seamless data integration and value delivery.
- Leverage AI/ML and generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate development, enhance automation, and improve engineering productivity.
- Support production operations, proactively monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability of MDM solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement through DevOps practices, automation of workflows, and enhancements to development and operational processes.
- Ensure data governance and compliance, aligning MDM implementations with regulations like GDPR and CCPA, and enterprise governance frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Higher degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles.
- Proficient in working within an Agile environment.
- Preferred 2+ years of hands-on experience leading MDM initiatives or implementing commercial/open-source MDM platforms.
- Deep knowledge of AWS Cloud services (especially S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB, Step Functions).
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and orchestration.
- Strong experience with ETL tools, data lakes, and data modeling for analytical and operational systems.
- Expertise in data integration (e.g., APIs, batch, streaming) and data quality frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MDM tools like Informatica MDM, Reltio, Stibo is a plus.
- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Exposure to data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Hands-on experience with data lake and Lakehouse architecture using AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lake Formation)
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, including data lineage, stewardship, and cataloging tools.
- Experience in integrating with or architecting solutions involving ServiceNow.
