Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Master Data Management (MDM) Architect with expertise in AWS Cloud, Python, and enterprise data management. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution to design and deliver scalable MDM solutions that ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across the organization. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive initiatives in data governance, integration, and cloud-native architecture, while also mentoring engineers and aligning delivery with business objectives.
Our technology stack centers around Python and AWS, leveraging services such as S3, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Athena, Aurora, Snowflake, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue. Familiarity with modern data stack technologies, DevOps, and data security best practices is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Product Management to ensure the product roadmap and vision are clearly understood and that the team is delivering on the highest-priority initiatives.
- Ensure project milestones are tracked, measured, and completed on time, aligning technical execution with business expectations.
- Architect and Design MDM Solutions: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance MDM systems on AWS using Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Step Functions, and DynamoDB.
- Establish MDM architecture, master data models, metadata strategies, and integration patterns aligned with enterprise master data goals.
- Build robust data ingestion, transformation, and synchronization pipelines using Python and AWS-native tools.
- Implement Data Quality Rules: Lead the implementation of matching logic, survivorship criteria, and comprehensive data quality frameworks.
- Mentor and guide engineers, architects, and contract resources while fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and manage delivery through Agile or SAFe methodologies.
- Drive execution of the MDM strategy and roadmap in alignment with enterprise architecture and business priorities.
- Monitor system performance, manage incident resolution, and optimize reliability and scalability of MDM platforms.
- Define and operationalize governance policies, stewardship processes, and compliance with privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Integrate MDM solutions with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and BI using APIs and ETL pipelines.
- Utilize tools like ChatGPT and other LLM platforms for documentation, code generation, QA automation, and process acceleration.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in cloud-based data engineering, data architecture, or MDM solution development.
- 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or team management role.
- Deep expertise with AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data processing.
- Strong experience in implementing MDM frameworks, metadata management, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, lead code reviews, and drive operational excellence.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, or Stibo.
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Analytics).
- Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture and data lake components (Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lake Formation).
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and serverless computing patterns.
- Experience in integrating with or architecting solutions involving ServiceNow.
