Job Description:
This role will be a part of Performance Reporting & Analytics team based in Bengaluru. The role involves collaborating with Finance Business Partners across LSEG Group’s Divisions and Functions to prepare and deliver insightful analysis to support and drive decision making.
This role would be responsible to deliver strong progress in development, upkeep and maintenance of Dashboards that would be critical for business performance management, review and analysis. The successful candidate should have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, ability to provide valuable insight and a focus on continuous improvement.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing high quality interactive dashboards and scorecards in Power BI fully leveraging for use by Senior Leadership Teams in the organisation.
- Writing Complex SQL queries and custom views.
- Developing ETL queries with M language in Power Query to cleanse and transform unstructured data or flat files.
- Building data models in Power BI based on Star Schema or snowflake.
- Connecting and mashup of different sources like SQL, Excels, CSV's, API's, Online sources, etc (On-Premises/Cloud) and building an efficient data model to feed data into the Power BI Dashboards.
- Streamlining processes end to end and automating data flows that facilitate ‘straight through’ processing and refresh of Dashboards with minimal to no manual intervention.
- On going maintenance and upkeep of Dashboards (in production) to incorporate changes in hierarchy, metrics, organisation alignments, etc.
- Developing reports with Static/Dynamic RLS with complex scenarios.
- Responsible for access management of users for various Dashboards in production.
- Building advanced DAX functions/calculations on the data set.
- Monitor Dashboard performance, usage and share usage statistics.
- Building Power Automate cloud flows
- Developing simple apps through Power app.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 9+ years of experience in Dashboarding / Data visualisation roles with specific exposure in Microsoft Power BI for 7+ years and with knowledge of any other data visualisation tools like Tableau/QlikView/Looker.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI - Power Query, data modelling, DAX and visualisations (Default/Custom).
- Good knowledge in ETL and any workflow tool like Alteryx, ADF, SSIS, etc.
- Strong on data modelling, database & data warehousing concepts
- Strong in SQL (SQL server/ Oracle/Snowflake)
- Solid understanding of different data sources (OnPrem/Cloud) for mashup or data models development.
- Working knowledge on Power BI report builder/SSRS for paginated reports.
- Strong Power BI dataflows/Datamart working knowledge with variety of data sources.
- Good understanding of Power BI licensing, Power BI service, Gateway connection creations.
- Knowledge of power automate/power apps/UI path.
- Integration of Power automate/Power app in Power BI dashboard.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in seamlessly integrating end-end flow "Power BI- Microsoft forms-Power Automate-Power App"
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to understand requirements clearly and deliver within agreed timelines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and across various business functions, including both finance and non-finance teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Microsoft certification in Power BI/Fabric/Power platform.
- Understanding of Finance domain/Financial concepts.
- Experience in training users on different tools.
- Knowledge of Python/R for data analytics.
- Experience in leading a team.
