SME Data Lead

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled Data Lead with experience developing and operationalising modern data platforms. You’ll take ownership of the data agenda across our SME businesses, including WorkNest, IMSM, Bulletproof, and Pentest People, and will eventually lead a growing team.

You’ll be working closely with Finance, Product, Tech, and CRM teams to build new reporting capabilities, particularly in product analytics, sales performance, and service delivery metrics. This is a hands-on role that will also involve strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and coaching of non-technical teams to make data more accessible and actionable.

Essential experience

• 4+ years in data analytics with strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and Snowflake (or similar cloud platforms).
• Proficiency with Power BI (or similar tools).
• Ability to communicate complex data to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams on sales, product, or service metrics.
• Commercially minded, self-driven, and comfortable leading when needed.

Desirable experience

• Experience with Salesforce data extraction and reporting.
• Familiar with data governance.
• Understanding of the NetSuite ERP platform.
• Experience in multi-product, multi-entity, or multi-geography environments.
• Background in change management and embedding data-first cultures.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies.

WorkNest is part of a wider GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) division owned by Axiom GRC.

Our ambition is to build a £250m revenue business through the Private Equity (PE) cycle, delivering >25% CAGR by combining strong organic growth with well-executed acquisitions across the UK and selected international markets.

The SME Division, where you’ll sit, includes WorkNest, IMSM, Bulletproof, Pentest People, and several sub-brands. You’ll report to the Group Head of Data and work closely with the SME Chief Technology Officer, playing a central role in shaping and delivering our divisional data strategy.
