We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor for our Tools Team, which plays a pivotal role in developing software solutions for our Digital Product Design organization. This team is dedicated to creating innovative tools that enhance the efficiency of UX/UI design processes for in-vehicle displays and mobile applications within the automotive industry.
- Lead and manage the Tools Team, overseeing the development and implementation of software solutions that support Digital Design processes.
- Collaborate with Digital Product Design teams to understand their needs and ensure tools effectively facilitate UI asset creation, UX diagrams, test cases, translations, and localizations.
- Oversee the development of both front-end and back-end solutions, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet organizational standards.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of dashboards in Jira, Airtable, and Excel for analyzing UX test results and software implementation outcomes.
- Coordinate the integration of Figma with other systems using plugins and APIs to streamline workflows.
- Drive the development of Artificial Intelligence tools aimed at automating and accelerating various design processes.
- Establish and maintain best practices for software development, testing, and deployment within the team.
- Mentor and support team members in their professional development and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; master degree preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in software development, particularly in front-end and back-end technologies.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design processes, tools, and best practices within the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Airtable.
- Experience with APIs, and plugin development for Figma or similar
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications in software development is a plus.
Technical Skills Required
- Software Development:
- Proficiency in front-end development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular).
- Strong knowledge of back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java).
- Database Management:
- Experience with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval.
- API Development and Integration:
- Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience in connecting applications and services through APIs.
- UX/UI Design Tools:
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma and Protopie.
- Knowledge of design systems and best practices in UX/UI design.
- Project Management Software:
- Proficient in using project management tools like Jira and Airtable for tracking and analyzing project progress.
- Dashboard and Reporting Tools:
- Experience in creating dashboards and reports using Jira Dashboards, Excel or similar tools for data visualization and analysis.
- Artificial Intelligence:
- Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts as they relate to process automation and software development.
- Version Control Systems:
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Agile Methodologies:
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Additional Skills (Optional but Beneficial)
- Knowledge of localization and translation processes for software.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) for hosting and deployment.
